Community can suit a business whose needs are covered by its core, reviewed add-ons and scoped development. Enterprise may be appropriate when its licensed applications are important to the project. Custom implementations run 45–90 days depending on modules and customization. The timeline is agreed after discovery and a review of migration and integration risks. The plan allocates time for configuration, customer testing, corrections, training and cutover. Adding entities, major features or historical data changes the schedule and should be handled through an agreed change process.

A recovery plan prioritises business continuity and a usable first release before optional enhancements.

Bring sample quotations, invoices, purchase orders, stock reports and management reports, together with a list of entities and user roles. Identify the people who can approve finance and operational decisions. Real documents reveal requirements more clearly than a list of desired software features.
