Odoo Manufacturing: BOMs, work orders, true cost
Plan materials, run work orders from a shop-floor screen, and know the true cost of every unit you produce.
Odoo Manufacturing connects product structures, material requirements and production records to stock and costing. Pandoratech scopes bills of materials, operations, production tracking and the required quality controls for the selected edition. The project starts with representative products and actual shop-floor steps, then proves the resulting quantities and costs through acceptance tests.

UAE compliance notes
Production costs flow into inventory valuation and the ledger your finance team uses for VAT and corporate tax reporting. Free-zone and mainland stock can be kept as separate warehouses or companies.
Turn the product structure into usable production data
A bill of materials needs consistent components, units, yields and variants. Multi-level assemblies, substitutes and subcontracted steps should be identified before scheduling is configured. Production and finance owners agree how material, labour and overhead inputs will be recorded for the reports they need.
Operations should reflect the actual stations, sequence and recording points on the floor. Too much mandatory input can make operators bypass the system; too little can make costing and traceability unreliable. We prototype a representative order with the people who will execute and supervise it.
Prove production exceptions and costing
Acceptance includes material shortage, partial production, scrap, rework and a finished-goods receipt where those scenarios apply. Traceable components and outputs need their identifiers carried through the relevant records. The test should show both how the supervisor sees progress and how stock changes when an order is completed.
Quality, maintenance, planning and shop-floor functions can depend on separate applications or add-ons. Each required function is named in the scope. Cost reports are reconciled to the agreed inputs; a projected bill-of-material cost should not be presented as actual production cost without reviewing consumption and recorded work.

Frequently asked questions
Can Odoo handle multi-level bills of materials?
Yes. The proposed manufacturing setup can be assessed with a representative multi-level product structure. Components, units, variants and procurement rules must be correct for requirements to flow through the levels. The demonstration should include a shortage or changed quantity so the team can see the operational effect, not only a static product tree.
Are quality and shop-floor functions included?
Not in every edition. Quality checks, advanced planning, maintenance and operator screens depend on the edition and applications selected. The proposal identifies standard functions, licensed modules and any custom work separately. Pandoratech demonstrates the required production journey on that exact stack before the rollout is approved.
How is production cost validated?
Agree which material, labour and overhead inputs form the cost report and how they are captured. Test actual consumption, waste and recorded operations against a sample order. Finance then reconciles the report to the selected inventory and accounting setup; expected and actual costs should be labelled distinctly.
