Odoo eCommerce: store and ERP in the same database

No sync headaches — stock, prices, and orders are simply there, because the store runs inside the ERP. UAE payment gateways and Arabic storefronts included.

Odoo eCommerce uses ERP product and order records to support an online storefront. Pandoratech scopes catalogue data, customer pricing, checkout, payments, delivery and fulfilment for the selected version. Arabic content, tax rules, stock availability and customer self-service are designed as connected business workflows rather than independent website features.

What's included

Exact features depend on your Odoo version and edition; we confirm them in the proposal.

  • Product catalog from ERP
  • UAE payment gateways
  • Live stock display
  • Shipping connectors
  • Promotions & coupons
  • B2B portals & price lists

UAE compliance notes

Prices can be shown VAT-inclusive and checkout issues a tax invoice with the TRN. Sales to other GCC countries need a tax treatment approved by your adviser.

Prepare catalogue and pricing ownership

The catalogue needs product descriptions, variants, images, units and publishable information distinct from internal purchasing data. Assign who approves prices and promotions, which stock locations supply online orders and how unavailable products are shown. B2B and public customers may need different access and price-list rules.

Arabic and English pages need equivalent product details and usable filters, not only translated menu labels. Search metadata, canonical paths and redirects are planned around the catalogue structure. A migration should retain or map valuable existing product URLs where the new architecture allows it.

Test paid orders through delivery and returns

A store acceptance test covers product selection, delivery address, tax calculation, payment result and order creation. Payment-provider callbacks and repeated submissions need checks so a paid order is not missing or duplicated. Merchant approval, fees and supported methods remain subject to the customer’s chosen provider.

Operations test picking, partial fulfilment, cancellation, return and refund handoffs. Shipping connectors depend on carrier access and the selected module. The team also checks customer notifications and portal visibility so internal status changes have the correct external meaning and do not expose other customers’ records.

Frequently asked questions

Does an Odoo store share stock with the ERP?

Yes, they share one database. The store uses the configured product and stock model, but online availability depends on locations, routes and sales rules. The implementation defines what customers can order and when stock is reserved. Test simultaneous orders, unavailable items and cancellations so online promises match warehouse operations.

Can we accept UAE online payments?

Yes. Stripe, Telr, PayTabs and Network International are among the gateways used in the UAE, and we integrate the one your bank or merchant account supports. Payment support depends on the chosen provider, merchant account, Odoo version and available connector. The scope confirms supported methods and tests successful, failed and repeated payment notifications. Provider approval and transaction fees are separate commercial matters and should be confirmed before launch.

Can business customers see their own prices and documents?

Yes. B2B access is scoped through authenticated accounts, pricing rules and portal permissions. The test should verify what each customer can view, order and download. Credit limits, approval workflows and negotiated catalogues may need additional configuration or modules, which are identified before implementation.
