Live implementation
An automotive group needed more than a vehicle list and invoices. Its Odoo implementation connects workshop job cards, job quotations, vehicle identifiers, customer sale agreements and group finance, with a separate engine for prepaid expense schedules.

The challenge
A workshop job, the vehicle being sold and the accounting documents each carry different information. The implementation had to preserve those links, support the group’s customer-facing documents and calculate job amounts with the correct taxes and currency. Finance also needed scheduled recognition of prepayments across companies.
Our approach
We extended the garage and project workflows in Odoo 15 rather than maintaining a separate workshop system. Custom job quotations, costing and invoice fields work alongside vehicle sale agreements. We also deployed the cost-revenue spread suite, including an enhanced component ported from Odoo 14 to Odoo 15.
What we built
Keep workshop costing connected
Extended job quotations, job cost sheets, instructions and timesheet reporting, including tax-aware job amounts and links back to the workshop task.
Schedule expense recognition
Configured company-specific journals and release defaults for prepaid costs. A rolled-back accounting check verified a balanced monthly release before adoption.
What the implementation enables
The implementation provides a document trail from vehicle and job information through quotations, agreements and invoices. Finance has a deployed scheduling mechanism for prepayments, with company-specific settings, instead of having to build the mechanism around manual monthly journals.
Delivery status & scope
The prepaid engine and defaults were deployed; migration of existing prepaid balances was a separate follow-up. No claim is made that every historical balance was corrected or every job-costing feature is used at volume.
