Complete POS systems: software, hardware, go-live
One provider for the whole counter: our own POS software (Waiteroo, RetailInn, SalonOnClick), the hardware to run it, on-site installation, and staff training — VAT-ready on day one.
A POS implementation connects checkout, payments, receipts and stock to the way a business serves customers. Pandoratech scopes software, compatible hardware, data setup and staff training for UAE restaurants, retailers and salons. Product selection follows the operating workflow, branch structure and required integrations rather than a generic feature checklist.

Choose the POS around how the business works
A restaurant needs an order to reach the right preparation station, with clear handling of modifiers, cancellations and bills. A retailer needs reliable product codes, pricing, returns and stock movement. A salon needs appointments, service delivery and the agreed staff or commission rules. These journeys need different demonstrations and acceptance tests.
Pandoratech’s product range includes Waiteroo for hospitality, RetailInn for retail and SalonOnClick for salons and spas. Odoo POS can be considered when a business needs checkout closely connected to its wider ERP. Required functions, hardware and integrations are confirmed for the selected product and plan.

Test the counter, devices and payment handoffs
The hardware scope identifies terminals, receipt printers, kitchen printers or displays, barcode scanners and network requirements. Existing devices need compatibility checks before reuse is promised. Card-terminal integration also depends on the payment provider, merchant account and available interfaces; taking a card payment manually is not the same as an integrated terminal.
An acceptance run should include cash and card sales, discounts, refunds, restricted actions, receipt printing and end-of-shift reconciliation. If connectivity is lost, the expected behaviour must be demonstrated for the selected product. Offline capability is not assumed to cover every feature, device or payment method.

Prepare data and staff before opening
The setup plan covers items or services, prices, taxes, stock, users and permissions. Owners approve the treatment of returns, voids and cash differences. A controlled opening balance and stock position make the first day’s reports useful instead of mixing new sales with unresolved legacy data.
Training follows each role: cashier, supervisor and owner. Handover includes who can authorise refunds, how shifts close and how incidents are reported. Receipt and tax settings are reviewed with the finance team; a printed VAT receipt alone is not evidence of readiness for structured UAE e-invoicing.

Frequently asked questions
Which POS product is appropriate for our business?
Choose from the workflow rather than the number of features. Demonstrate an actual restaurant order, retail return or salon appointment through payment and reporting. Pandoratech evaluates its relevant industry platform or Odoo POS against required devices, integrations, branches and operating controls before recommending a product.
Can we reuse our existing POS hardware?
Usually yes, after a compatibility check. Existing devices can be evaluated against the selected software, connection type and operating environment. Printer protocols, scanner input and payment-terminal support need checks. Supply the device models and current setup during assessment; a reuse decision should follow compatibility testing rather than a general promise.
What happens when the internet connection fails?
The behaviour depends on the selected POS product and the functions being used. A demonstration should cover new sales, stored orders, printing, synchronisation and payment restrictions. We document which actions remain available and how records reconcile when connectivity returns; an offline label does not imply that every integration works without a network.
Does the implementation include staff training?
Yes. Training and on-site work are identified in the agreed deployment scope. Cashiers practise sales and receipts, supervisors practise approvals and exceptions, and owners review shifts and reports. The team should complete a test session before live trading, with support contacts and hardware responsibilities documented.
What does a complete POS setup cost?
Waiteroo starts from AED 199 per month, and hardware is a one-time cost. We quote per branch and station count, so you see software, devices and installation separately.
Do you install outside Dubai?
Yes. On-site installation is available across all seven emirates, not only in Dubai. Our offices are in Al Ain and Dubai.
