Managed cloud hosting for applications and SaaS

We host and operate the infrastructure behind our own SaaS products and dozens of client systems — monitored, backed up daily, and supported from Dubai.

Managed cloud hosting combines application infrastructure with an agreed operating service. Pandoratech scopes hosting for web applications, APIs, databases and SaaS workloads, including monitoring, backups and maintenance. Capacity, deployment region, backup location, recovery objectives and support hours are documented for the chosen plan rather than inferred from the customer’s location.

Your host answers in days, not minutes

Backups exist in theory only

Regulators ask about data residency

Scope of the service

What's included

Odoo hosting & tuning

Sized and tuned for ERP workloads.

App & database hosting

Web apps, APIs, PostgreSQL/MySQL under management.

Backup retention and restore checks

Agree the covered data, backup frequency, retention, storage region and restoration procedure.

Monitoring and escalation

Automated checks and alert routing with staffed response hours defined in the support agreement.

SSL, domains, email

Certificates, DNS, SPF/DKIM deliverability.

Migration from other hosts

Application and dependency review, trial transfer, planned cutover and verified DNS and service handover.

Separate infrastructure from application responsibilities

A virtual server alone does not explain who updates the operating system, restarts failed services, monitors database growth or investigates a broken application. The service inventory identifies the application, database, storage, domains and third-party dependencies. Each component needs an owner and an escalation path.

For a SaaS application, we also review tenant isolation, scheduled jobs, queues, file uploads and deployment procedures. A high-traffic marketing site has different operating needs from a transactional application. Capacity is planned from workload characteristics and measured usage, with an agreed route for future expansion.

Document recovery and deployment location

The backup plan states which data is covered, how long copies are retained, where they are stored and who can restore them. A recovery test should check an application-level result, not only that an archive can be downloaded. Recovery objectives are selected around the business impact of lost work and downtime.

Data residency is a deployment requirement, not a marketing label. Primary systems, backups, logs and external processors can be in different locations. We identify those boundaries for the selected plan so the customer can assess them against its own policies before approving hosting.

Move workloads with a tested handover

A migration plan covers application compatibility, data transfer, configuration, certificates, DNS and a final verification window. Mail services require separate checks so moving a website does not accidentally interrupt email delivery. Changes are rehearsed where practical, with a rollback decision and owner identified before cutover.

Ongoing operation includes the monitoring and maintenance agreed in the proposal. Availability monitoring, staffed incident response and feature development are different commitments. Monthly or periodic reviews can cover capacity, incidents, backups and pending changes without treating every hosting issue as a new development project.

Frequently asked questions

Does managed hosting mean our data stays in the UAE?

Not automatically. The deployment region and backup locations depend on the chosen architecture and are documented in the proposal. A UAE provider or support address does not establish UAE-only storage. If residency is required, specify which data, logs and backups the policy covers before selecting the hosting plan.

What is included in a hosting service agreement?

The agreement should name the workloads, capacity, regions, monitoring, backup policy, maintenance duties and incident contacts. It also defines support hours and any availability or recovery commitments. Application changes and major upgrades need an explicit scope rather than being assumed to be part of infrastructure management.

Can you migrate a website and its database from another host?

Yes. A move starts with application and dependency checks, a data-copy plan and a cutover window. Domains, certificates, email routing and external integrations are reviewed separately. The team validates the website and business functions after the move, with a rollback route agreed before production changes.

How do backups differ from disaster recovery?

Backups retain copies from which data can be restored. Disaster recovery also defines the environment, dependencies, people and steps needed to resume service. Replication can reduce recovery time, but retained backups are still important when deletion or corruption reaches both primary and replicated systems.
